This 1974 Hahn pumper has served the Ingomar VFC for almost forty years. Engine 1 was initially a "first-out" piece (the first piece of apparatus to respond to emergencies) for years, and then served as a "reserve" piece in recent years, being pressed back into use when Engine 4 (retired), Engine 2, or the Quint were out for maintenance or inspection. Engine 1 was sold in September, 2011 to a family campground in Munster, Germany. That's right, our old Hahn pumper was taken by tractor trailer to a shipping port in New Jersey, transferred to a cargo container and shipped to Germany! It will be utilized as part of the fire brigade at Campingpark Heidewald, working alongside another Hahn pumper of similar age! Check out Campingpark Heidewald's website here!
