Our website is undergoing an extensive retrofit.  Please excuse us as we sort it all out.

Ingomar Fire Company #2 is proud to be one of three mutually-supporting companies serving the Town of McCandless, along with the Highland and Peebles departments.  The "Links" page will show you where to get more information about these fine companies, as well as other related pages on the World Wide Web.

Our "Fire/Safety" page will teach you how to keep your family safe from all manner of dangers found in our modern world, and will allow you to request an automatic email update when it's time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

"Hot Flashes" is the place to go for the latest news from Ingomar VFC and the McCandless Bureau of Fire.  Find out when the next parade is, or whether there are any fire advisories in effect for the town. This is also the page where new additions to the site will be listed.

Would you like to take a virtual tour of our fire halls, or our trucks, or learn about the equipment our firefighters use to protect themselves while they protect you? "Equipment" has it all.
"Contact & Information" will put you in touch with your fire department; here you'll find email, telephone, and postal addresses for contacting the department's officers; a guide to following our activities on the radio; and a list of frequently asked questions, and answers, about our activities.
Murphy's Law is alive and well on the World Wide Web.  When it applies to you, go to "Site Help & Admin" for technical support and information about IngomarFire.org.
Finally, don't forget to drop by "Recruiting" to find out about Project: Step Up.  Plain and simple, we need you.  Whether you can make the commitment to being a firefighter, or to helping us in one of our many essential support positions, your contribution to the community will be deeply appreciated by us, by your neighbors...and by yourself.

As you explore our site, move your mouse pointer around on the screen.  You'll notice that it sometimes changes from an arrow to a little finger-looking thing.  This means that the spot on which your pointer is resting is a clickable  "link" that will take you to another section of the web site.  Most of the time, the spot you click on will give a clear indication of where you will be going, but some of them are what's known as "Easter Eggs," little surprises thrown in by the site's creator at four in the morning after several pots of really nasty "firehouse" coffee.  If you experience difficulty viewing the content of this site, click above on the button titled "Site Help /Admin" for some tips on how to make certain your computer is optimally configured for this site, or click here to send an email to the site's administrator, who will be more than happy to help you.

OKAY, LET'S ROLL!
